Responsibilities:
- Prepares and files individual tax returns
- Prepares and files business tax returns
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
- Learn to efficiently navigate firm software
- Demonstrates ability to complete various tax and accounting projects
- Demonstrates logical thinking when recording tax information
- Ensures all data needed to comply with filing requirements are collected; identifies and properly communicates missing items to prepare return
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic state taxation issues
- Accurately prepares quarterly and annual estimated tax liability calculations
- Proactively takes part in tax planning for clients
- For business returns, demonstrates the ability to follow procedures and identify opportunities of improvement.
- General understanding of client accounting service projects as needed
- Displays ability to do more complex tax returns without supervision
- Provides accurate calculations on complex book-to-tax differences
- Assists and guides staff and demonstrates ability to give constructive feedback
- Supervises and trains associates and interns
- Learn and exhibit professional communication skills
- Contributes to team effort by volunteering to help when possible
- Builds upon job knowledge by participating in department wide trainings as well as independent learning such as reading professional publications and regulations

- Conducts first review of tax return and identifies basic, complex and advanced issues throughout the engagement; raises potential tax issues
- Demonstrates the ability to provide quality tax planning to clients that encompasses the clients’ full business needs
- Refining skills, knowledge, and expertise as a specialist in a tax-related technical field and/or industry that we service at our firm
- Active CPA license
- Ability to create tax proposals and determine appropriate fees based on an estimated engagement budget
- Provides performance evaluations to associates and seniors and effectively communicates strengths and opportunities for improvement
- Builds strong relationships with clients as a trusted advisor
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of compiled financial statements
- Outsourced accounting services for multiple clients – including Quickbooks maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, bill pay
- Preparation of sales tax and tangible tax filings
- Preparation of financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Maintenance of client relationships
- Involvement in training new accounting staff and interns
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
Responsibilities:
- Assists in conducting annual audit, review, and compilation procedures of company’s account balances and processes
- Communicates with clients and various financial institutions to confirm account balances at year-end
- Examines, analyzes, and interprets client accounting records for appropriate recognition of transactions in accordance with GAAP or other basis of accounting
- Drafts and reviews annual financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP or other basis of accounting
- Simultaneously works on multiple engagements in varying industries
- Contributes to team development by communicating results to senior staff and helping others as needed
- Builds upon job knowledge by participating in department wide trainings as well as independent learning such as reading professional publications and regulations
