We continue to work hard on clients’ behalf, while taking steps to protect against COVID-19
Like all of you, we are monitoring the latest news about the coronavirus and adjusting our daily activities to reduce the possibility of spreading COVID-19. With confirmed cases in the west-central Florida areas we serve, we are being especially cautious.
We know that taxes may be the last thing our clients want to worry about in these uncertain times, so we want to assure them that we are continuing to work hard on their behalf. We are also staying up to date on the latest news regarding a possible extension of the federal income tax filing deadline.
News reports say that the IRS is likely to move this year’s deadline from April 15, 2020 to a date somewhere between June and October. The administration has not yet announced the new deadline or who is eligible, but we will keep our clients posted with any new information.
We also want to make everyone aware of the ways we are doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community, keep our team members safe, and preserve the quality of service our clients expect from Spoor Bunch Franz. All of us take the health and safety of our clients and team seriously, and here are some precautions we are taking at this time:
- Cleaning – We are following the CDC’s recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting work areas, and we are working hard to make sure that our team members are safe in our offices.
- Working remotely – Our employees are able to work remotely, and we are encouraging this by providing the technology that will allow them to meet customer needs from outside the office. Our team is working as efficiently as possible, and we ask for flexibility and understanding as we adjust operations to allow for more remote work.
- Minimizing in-person meetings – We love seeing our clients in person, but we are shifting meetings to email, phone calls, or video conferences to minimize the risk for our team members and clients.
- Canceling all firm-wide gatherings – We are taking a break from group meetings and gatherings to minimize the risk for our team members.
If you have any questions or concerns about how best to work with us during this time, we encourage you to contact us at info@sbfcpa.com or 727-888-9200.
The situation is rapidly evolving, and we will be sure to keep you updated on the filing deadline extension and any other related news.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we do our part to help preserve the health and safety of our team and our clients, while providing the level of service you expect from us.
